A
new scientific study (1) performed in the USA has provided a strong
link between thimerosal (a mercury-based compound used as a vaccine
preservative) and the induction of neural damage similar to that seen
in autism patients.
The study, performed by D.A. Geier in
conjunction with the Institute of Chronic Illnesses in Maryland showed
that thimerosal-induced cellular damaged caused concentration and
time-dependent mitochondrial damage, reduced oxidative-reduction
activity, cellular degeneration, and cell death. Thimerosal at low
concentrations induced significant cellular toxicity in human neuronal
and fetal cells.
Thimerosal was found to be significantly more toxic than the other metal compounds examined, which included aluminium and lead.
The Spinal Centre's Comment:
Mercury
has long been known as a highly toxic material that can cause death if
swallow, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Studies incidicate that
mercury tends to accumulate in the brains of humans after they are
injected with vaccines.
Mercury poisoning has been linked to
cardiovascular disease, autism, seizures, mental retardation,
hyperactivity, dyslexia and many other nervous system conditions.
We
have eliminated mercury from many common sources - from foods, drinks,
dental amalgam fillings and contaminated fish because of the highly
dangerous natural of this compound.
So why, knowing the massive
risks involved with ingesting mercury into our bodies, do we continue
to administer dangerous amounts in the form of vaccines?
Thimerosal,
which is used in vaccines as a preservatives, is 49.6 percent
ethylmercury. Due to the ever-increasing amount of ‘required' childhood
vaccines, thimerosal has become a major source of mercury in children.
Within the first two years of life, when our immune system is at its'
weakest, a child may already have received a quantity of mercury that
clearly exceeds safety guidelines.
In fact, the current swine flu vaccine features thimerosal as its'
main preservative - and is set to be administered to every pregnant
woman, baby and child worldwide.
Rates
of autism are on the rise. In past decades, autism was diagnosed in as
little as 1 in 10,000. Now, according to recent studies (2), autism
rates are as much as 1 in 100.
With the rising number of
immunisations on the schedule (approaching 60 different vaccines from
birth - 17 years of age), our children are being pumped full of
artificial preservatives and chemicals, each known to cause disastrous
side-effects.
It is believed that when the body is injected with a small amount of a germ or virus, this stimulates the body's natural immune system to make antibodies against the germ/virus. Though this active germ/virus can cause damage and immune suppression, it is the additives, preservatives and chemicals that offer the real danger.
| It also stands to reason since Australia, with so many vaccines on their schedule, is surpassed only by the US and Canada - the two other countries with the highest autism rates in the world. And this rate is showing no signs of slowing down. |
At least America is taking a stand by gradually reducing the
amount of mercury contained in vaccines. A 2006 study from Arizona, US
showed that since mercury was removed from some childhood vaccines, the
alarming increase in reported rates of autism and other neurological
disorders in children not only stopped, but actually dropped sharply -
by as much as 35%. So why isn't Australia following suit?
Autism
and similar conditions are debilitating neurological disorders that can
make a huge impact on the lives of the sufferer and their family.
Although autism may be apparent soon after birth, most autistic
children experience at least several months, or even a year of normal
development, followed by regression, defined as loss of function or
failure to progress.
Typically, by the age of three, at which
time the child has received at least 24 of their scheduled
vaccinations, symptoms of autism are fully apparent, affecting their
communication and social skills, and impairing the child's ability to
play, speak and relate to the world.
Unfortunately though, once
the vaccine is administered, there is little that can be done to
protect against mercury-induced autism.
As always, we encourage
you to educate yourself - know what is contained in each vaccine, and
consider all possibilities - ask yourself - is it worth the risk?
